I like that Clearing Firestar, here is my idea of hunting grounds.
http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2133/1779400193_20945640a4.jpgThe grass is tall so the wolves can sneak well towards the animals that they are hunting. Tree's can be used to hide the wolves as well, and the deer can dash into the trees.
And this is from Jetspear on the in the old pack, i thought that it was good and shouldn't be put to waste.

This could be the den?
The tree over top stops water from entering the den because it sucks up the water. In Summer and Spring the Den is mostly hidden from view because the leaves of the tree hide it, and plus it is a pretty large den.

This could be another end,
